HATAMET 7

HATAMET 7 is a treatment based on sodium silicate and sodium hexametaphosphate. It has been specifically formulated for inhibiting corrosion and hardness scale formation in both static and dynamic water storage tanks of domestic and commercial potable water systems where corrosion protection is required at the same time as non-toxicity.

Dosage rate and application requirements will be specified by SWTC for each individual system and will be dependent upon water quality and system operating parameters. As a general guide an initial dosage to create a protective film to inhibit corrosion will be applied before the lower maintenance dosage is established.

HATAMET 7 should be applied continuously, preferably by a metering pump. HATAMET 7 is not corrosive to steel or plastics in concentrated or diluted form. It may be pumped neat as supplied or diluted for convenience using clean cold water.
