DM 8 in 1 DIS is a highly concentrated sodium gallotannate solution for use as an oxygen scavenger, and hence corrosion inhibitor, in steam raising plant.

DM 8 in 1 DIS is normally dosed so as to maintain a tannin reserve of 12-16 in the boiler water. The optimum treatment level depends on a number of Conditions including operating pressure and chemical composition of the feed water and the actual dosage rate will be determined by SWTC.

DM 8 in 1 DIS may be injected using a plastic dosage pump and delivery lines continuously to the DE aerator of feed tank outlet. It is usually diluted with clean cold water to suit the dosage pump duty.
